THE COMPANY:

A Nordic cutting edge e-commerce company based in the heart of Stockholm is looking for a Data Engineer to support them in their IT department. The offices are based in central Stockholm and the project will be for 3-6 months, with a good chance of extension.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for the Data pipelines, data modelling and data management in the Data lake. The data pipelines and the data lake should be built on a future proof foundation for achieving automation, Analytic and Machine learning. The responsibility is also to ensure data is being used accordingly and to deliver data-driven competitive advantages.

You would deliver scalable solutions with a coding best-practice in mind. Securing data, automation, analytics & machine learning can use the data foundation to drive business value creation. As a data Engineer you're also responsible for enabling automation, data, analytics & machine learning, always focusing on building solutions that can scale and with performance in mind.

You will be working with data flows in Snowflake and Airflow but also streaming architectures in AWS Kinesis. Maintaining and building data flows with live machine learning recommendations to more than 500k users each week.

THE ROLE

As a data engineer you will

Build data pipelines, ETL
Working with data flows in Snowflake and Airflow
Maintaining and building data flows with live machine learning recommendations to more than 500k users each week.
Handling more than 20 million API requests each week.
Working with streaming architectures in AWS Kinesis

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor or Master's Degree in Statistics, Computer Sciences, Accounting or other relevant field
Experience in designing and developing ETL processes, building pipelines with Airflow
Excellent programming skills in Python
Commercial experience in AWS or GCP
Commercial experience in Redshift or BigQuery or Snowflake
Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory
