For our client we are looking for a CAE crash safety analysis engineer – Front Structure Analysis.

Assignment description:

The Front & Rear Structure Analyse Team is responsible for the structural front & rear behavior when it comes to low and high speed crashes in our current and future cars. You will perform advanced finite element simulations with the aim to analyze and develop safety performance in our future cars. Your main task will be supporting a skilled team of engineers to reach our legal, ratingand Safety Standard targets. You will be working closely with the front high speed team members and Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Create and develop virtual simulation models (CAE)

• Perform simulations and analyses based on results from both virtual & physical test

• Participate in development of technical solutions and numerical methods

Competence Requirements:

• MSc in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience from CAE-tools as LS-Dyna, Ansa and Meta Post.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within CAE analysis Crash.
• Good analytical competence.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• High ability to work in team – personal skills to get things done in collaboration.

Meritorious Competences:

• Knowledge of Volvo product development process.
• Experience from other OEMs in CAE Safety area.
• TeamCenter, VisMockup or Catia
• Skills in scripting languages, such as Python, Matlab or other.

Personal qualities:

• Should like to work collaboratively with others to achieve shared objectives.
• Structured way of working, and good documentation skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Self-driven, result oriented and flexible.
