Windows Automation Expert

Windows Infrastructure & Automation Expert (PowerShell / SCCM / GPO)

Location: Tricity or Warsaw – 3 days from the office

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Windows Expert to join an innovative technology team, working with cutting-edge automation technologies and contributing to the continuous improvement of the platform through modern DevOps practices.

This role combines deep Windows platform expertise with hands-on automation and infrastructure engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Redesign patch management procedures using SCCM
  • Design and implement automation processes using CI/CD technologies with PowerShell
  • Design and implement GPOs and security baselines
  • Act as the OS specialist with deep knowledge of the platform and surrounding IT landscape (Network, Storage, Virtualization, Active Directory)
  • Support the team in building new OS images through automation
  • Advise on and support cloud migrations, including from on-premises environments
  • Work closely with the platform owner and scrum team on the engineering backlog
  • Create comprehensive documentation of automation processes and procedures for end users, engineers, and architects
  • Collaborate within a SAFe Scrum framework
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and system administration support on the Windows platform

Required Skills and Experience

  • High proficiency in PowerShell and other relevant programming languages
  • Extensive experience with configuration management tools, particularly SCCM
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server platforms (Windows 2019, 2022, 2025)
  • Proficiency with software development tools including Git and Jira
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong command of Active Directory and Group Policy, including domain structures, user access control, replication, and policy deployment
  • Experience configuring and managing core network services (DNS, DHCP, IP routing)
  • Hybrid cloud knowledge — connecting on-premises environments with cloud vendors such as GCP and Azure
  • Experience designing disaster recovery solutions, including backup routines, failover clustering, and business continuity planning

Nice to Have

  • Interest in exploring and integrating AI technologies for self-healing platform capabilities
  • Certifications in Windows Server platforms (especially 2022/2025)
  • Knowledge of other platforms such as Linux
  • Coding ability in additional languages such as Python
