Our client is looking to hire two types of resources to support their transition to Amazon Quicksight as their new BI platform: namely a developer and a trainer. Which one are you, or both? Our client is looking for AWS Quicksight expertise. The company is currently using Tableau as the BI platform for their Analytics product. Their Analytics product is a SaaS service that provides embedded analytics for their other software products. They have decided to switch to Amazon Quicksight as their new BI platform, as it offers several advantages such as scalability, cost-effectiveness, integration with AWS services. However, in order to make this transition successful, they need to hire some external expertise and provide training for their internal personnel and customers.

We have identified two main types of resources that our client needs to support their transition to Amazon Quicksight:

• Amazon Quicksight developer / Data Analyst
• Amazon Quicksight trainer + part time Developer / Analyst

 

Amazon Quicksight Developer / Data Analyst

The Amazon Quicksight developer / Data Analyst is a person who has recent experience in developing dashboards with AWS Quicksight and sufficient data analyst skills. This person will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing new dashboards and reports using Amazon Quicksight 
• Creating and managing data sources, data sets, and calculations in Amazon Quicksight
• Migrating existing dashboards and reports from Tableau to Amazon Quicksight
• Applying best practices and standards for data visualization and dashboard design 
• Collaborating with our client's product team, engineering team, and customers to understand the requirements and deliver the solutions

Amazon Quicksight Trainer

The optimal solution for our client is a person that is able and motivated to help them with training tasks in addition to the same development tasks as described in the previous developer role. 

The Amazon Quicksight trainer is a person who has extensive knowledge and experience in using and teaching Amazon Quicksight. This person will be responsible for:

• Preparing and delivering training sessions for our client's internal personnel (other functions like Customer Success etc.) and customers on how to use the new Analytics solution based on Amazon Quicksight
• Creating and updating training materials, such as slides, videos, manuals, and exercises
• Developments tasks such as designing and developing new dashboards and reports using Amazon Quicksight
