Senior Data Engineer

Infotainment is one of the fastest-growing areas within automotive technology today. Competition extends beyond traditional automotive players, with innovative and fast-moving companies such as Apple and collaboration partners like Google influencing the landscape. The client has successfully launched cutting-edge driver interaction and infotainment solutions and remains committed to continued success.
The group is part of the software factory for Infotainment. The team provides visibility into the software factory, making its inner workings clear and accessible. Through monitoring and visualization of CI/CD, environments, and products, raw data is transformed into actionable insights for teams.
In this role, the Data Engineer will be part of a team—primarily consisting of data engineers—focused on developing and maintaining the data product that enables smooth CI and software product development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the ConX engineering data product.
- Build scalable and reliable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage of engineering and CI/CD data.
- Implement canonical data models and metric definitions in collaboration with senior engineers and architects.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of event-driven and batch data workflows.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and observability in data processing pipelines.
- Apply data governance policies, access controls, and security best practices.
- Build self-service datasets and analytical layers that empower engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with CI/CD, platform, and product teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Monitor pipeline performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–7 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering, with exposure to data-intensive systems.
- Hands-on experience building data pipelines using Python, SQL, or similar languages.
- Experience working with modern data platforms, data modeling, and building data transformation layers.
- Experience working with CI/CD, observability, or engineering data sources (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Grafana, ELK, Git).
- Solid understanding of distributed processing frameworks, data storage formats, and event-driven or streaming architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
Meritorious Qualifications
- Experience working with similar clients or large-scale automotive environments.
- Knowledge of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments.
