Graphic Designer

Description of the assignment

We are looking for a versatile Senior Designer to join our team in a hands-on, multi-disciplinary role. In this position, you will work on a wide variety of tasks—ranging from designing clean, effective presentations to creating motion graphics and 3D content. You should have a strong eye for visual design, a solid strategic mind, and the ability to take a concept from a rough idea to a polished final

asset. Strong visual design skills and solid proficiency in 2D and 3D software, motion tools and AI tools are required. You will join our Technology & Innovation team, a cross-functional group of designers and software and hardware developers. Focusing on light and interactive, "out-of-screen" experiences, you will collaborate closely with Design and Engineering teams to deliver next-generation in- and out-of-cabin experiences.

Qualifications and skills required for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in design field.

• Design portfolio and/or show reel demonstrating a variety of projects.

• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and communicate design concepts and deliveries.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality content.

• Understanding of human factors and user-centred design principles

• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

• Hands-on proficiency in motion design, animation, and 2D and 3D visualization (After Effects, Blender, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma)

• Proficient with using AI tools in the design process

Key responsibilities

• Conceive, develop, and deliver innovative automotive 'out-of-screen' experiences across exterior and interior domains, spanning the full design process from ideation and concept narratives through to tangible validation and final implementation support

• Create and present design concepts and proposals to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and refining designs as necessary.

• Resolve technical implementation challenges while maintaining alignment with brand identity

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Sweden and China to ensure deliverables are visually compelling, functionally effective, and culturally appropriate

• Deliver production ready assets and specifications

Strong drive, communicative with good leadership skills, independent and confident as well as a good team player. Methodical and analytical with good planning skills. Flexible and able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances.

Other

• The assignment will take place in our studio in Gothenburg, and we have an ‘office first’ environment with some flexibility to WFH

• Travel to China may be needed (approx. 2-3 trips per year).

• Everyone in our team has a high level of responsibility and mandate and is expected to be able to work autonomously.
