Senior Mobile Developer
For our client in the banking sector we are looking for a Senior Mobile Developer / Mobile Tech Lead – iOS & Android.
The consultant will be responsible for driving the UI uplift and modernization of the mobile banking applications while working hands-on with both iOS and Android development. Key responsibilities include: - Lead UI improvement initiatives, ensuring a modern, consistent, and user-friendly experience across mobile platforms. - Design, develop, and maintain features for iOS and Android applications. - Collaborate with designers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. - Contribute to mobile architecture, technical design, and development best practices. - Ensure high quality through code reviews, unit testing, UI automation, and continuous improvement activities. - Take ownership of delivered solutions, including implementation, testing, deployment, and production support. - Support the team in end-to-end deliveries, including frontend and backend contributions when needed. - The consultant is expected to combine technical leadership with hands-on development and play a key role in improving the user experience of digital banking services. Must-have knowledge and experience - 7+ years of professional experience in mobile application development with a proven track record of delivering large-scale mobile solutions. - Strong expertise in either iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin), combined with strong hands-on experience in the other platform. - Experience leading or driving UI modernization, redesign, or uplift initiatives in mobile applications. - Strong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, VIPER, or similar. - Experience with UIKit, Auto Layout, Jetpack Compose, XML layouts, and Fragments. - Strong understanding of unit testing, UI test automation, and quality engineering practices on mobile platforms. - Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and background processing. - Experience working with secure, high-quality, customer-facing applications where performance, stability, and security are critical. - Ability to drive technical discussions, collaborate with designers and stakeholders, and take ownership of end-to-end deliveries. - Strong communication skills and experience working in agile cross-functional teams. Nice-to-have knowledge and experience - Banking, payments, or financial services experience. - Experience with design systems, accessibility, and mobile UX best practices. - Knowledge of web technologies such as Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
