For our client WirelessCar we are looking for a Mobile App Architect.

WirelessCar specializes in developing the backend for connected vehicles. They are increasingly receiving requests from customers to also provide a mobile app that utilizes the backend to communicate with the vehicle. Currently, WirelessCar does not develop any mobile apps themselves. Instead, they use partners for the development. They need assistance in establishing the strategy moving forward.

• Act as a counterpart to the suppliers to whom they outsource mobile app development. What requirements should WirelessCar place on the supplier, and what should they leave to the supplier to decide?
• How should WirelessCAr think about synergies between iOS and Android? Are there synergies with Android Auto as well?
• Support in the RFI/RFQ process when mobile apps are involved.
• Today, WirelessCar uses partners to build the apps. When would it make sense to set up a development team?
• Regional differences? For instance, when delivering an app in China, should WirelessCar follow the same approach as in Europe, or does China have specific requirements?
