Product Cybersecurity Officer

One of team mates will be on leave for approximately one year. The Product Cybersecurity (PCS) area therefore requires a consultant to support and backfill key Product Cybersceurity activities starting in August 2026.

The consultant will act as a key contributor within the PCS team, with particular focus on supporting cybersecurity certification activities and automotive engineering expertise in coordinating cybersecurity program deliverables across vehicle programs.

Accountabilities and Deliverables:

  • Lead and coordinate product cybersecurity deliverables within assigned vehicle programs to support and maintain the Polestar Product Security Cybersecurity Management System (PS CSMS) and governance framework.
  • Act as a coordinator for product cybersecurity deliverables across vehicle programs and ensure alignment with regulatory regulatory deliverables for all markets and business milestones.
  • Define and communicate cybersecurity requirements towards suppliers and support compliance assessments.
  • Prepare and coordinate internal readiness activities for cybersecurity audits, self certifications, and vehicle type approvals (e.g but not limited to assessments, audits, Cybersceurity verification, validation)
  • Monitor evolving regulations and update internal policies, templates, and processes accordingly.
  • Consolidate and report product cybersecurity risks dependencies, open items, and decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support the PCS Program in planning, coordinating, and driving Product Cybersecurity activities across vehicle programs.
  • Support additional PCS Team activities according to shifting program priorities and business needs.

Deliveries

The consultant will be part of PCS team to support and drive vehicle programs within Product Cybersecurity area. This area is often market related, with a strong focus on market-specific cybersecurity compliance activities, particularly Korean certification requirements.

The consultant will:

  • Coordinate Product Cybersecurity audits, certifications, and program deliverables.
  • Support the PCS Program Lead in securing timely delivery of cybersecurity milestones.
  • Track and report risks, assumptions, dependencies, issues, and decisions to program and management stakeholders.
  • Drive follow-up actions across engineering teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure transparency and reporting of program status, certification readiness, and regulatory compliance progress.

Competence requirements

  • Automotive experience and understanding within E/E architecture(onboard), components (ECU) and bonus is related to cybersecurity connectivity area(offboard/cloud)
  • Strong program management experience with demonstrated ability to coordinate timelines, milestones, deliverables, resources, and stakeholders. You need to have control and coordinate over the time plan, milestones, deliverables, resources within the Product CS area and PS CSMS incl market specific automotive cybersecurity regulations. (Korean CSMS, Euro7 – anti-tampering, UN R155/ISO21434 etc)
  • Experience working with regulatory audits, certifications, compliance programs, or similar governance frameworks.

  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to switch efficiently between multiple tasks and changing priorities.

  • Able to work independently and prioritize effectively under time pressure and frequent shift of priorities on multiple vehicle programs with business setup.
