For our client we're looking for an experienced Automation Service Engineer

You will support customers under service agreements in sectors such as life sciences, chemicals, food and beverage, power and heat generation, and energy management. Your work covers engineering and commissioning, both in ongoing service and in projects. Most assignments are in Finland, with the occasional trip abroad. Expect roughly 30-150 travel days a year, depending on how you split your time between remote work and customer sites.

What you will do

• Handle service requests and help customers solve urgent issues
• Plan and carry out control system hardware and software work, and commission systems on site or remotely
• Maintain the quality of installed base records
• Work closely with service coordinators, project managers, lead engineers, teammates and customer contacts
• Join upgrade and modernization projects from time to time
• Deliver service work efficiently and to a high standard, within contract terms, budget, quality and safety rules

What you bring

• Degree in automation engineering, or comparable hands-on experience
• Understanding of power plant automation and electrical systems, including PLC design
• Background in engineering work in life sciences, chemicals, food and beverage, or power generation
• Good command of Finnish and English, spoken and written. Swedish is a plus.
• A customer-minded, collaborative way of working, with drive to deliver and keep learning
• Familiarity with IT and cyber security, or readiness to learn

Location: Helsinki, Vaasa or Pirkkala (hybrid)

Start: As soon as possible

Duration: To be confimed, approx. 6-12 months

Language: Fluent English & Finnish, Swedish considered as an advantage
