Our client’s current SAP ECC environment has been operational for a long time and now we are seeking an experienced SAP Legacy & Integration Architect / Pre-Migration Consultant for our industrial client who is embarking on a major SAP S/4HANA transformation project.Role OverviewOur client’s current SAP ECC environment has been operational for a long time, resulting in extensive custom modifications and a complex integration footprint. The current landscape includes at least 10 legacy systems—some around 20 years old. In addition, the organization is scaling its system operations from a local setup to a global footprint.In this role, you will act as a key driver during the pre-migration phase, leading the essential groundwork ahead of the main S/4HANA rollout. Your task is to audit, map, and document the current state (as-is), analyze existing legacy legacy setups, and design the system cleanup and future integration baseline.

Key Responsibilities

• Current State Assessment (As-Is): Perform a comprehensive review of the SAP core, custom code (ABAP/customizations), and surrounding legacy systems.
• Integration Mapping & Documentation: Audit and thoroughly document interfaces, data flows, and legacy connections (PI/PO, CPI, IDoc, RFC).
• Cleanup Strategy: Identify redundant code and obsolete systems, and create a cleanup roadmap prior to the S/4HANA migration.
• Bridging Tech & Business: Translate complex technical dependencies into clear insights to support decision-making across business and IT stakeholders.
  
  

Key Requirements

• Deep SAP Experience: Solid background in SAP ECC environments and a strong understanding of S/4HANA migration preparation.
• Legacy & Custom Code Expertise: Ability to audit legacy setups, understand complex custom solutions, and provide clear documentation.
• Integration Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SAP integration technologies (PI/PO, CPI, IDoc, RFC).
• Strong Communication & Documentation Skills: Proven capability to communicate effectively between technical teams and business leadership.
• Industrial / ABB Background: Prior experience within an ABB background or similar large-scale global industrial environments is considered a critical advantage.

• Experience with global rollout projects and enterprise-level SAP transformations.
• Track record of system consolidation and architecture simplification in manufacturing/industrial sectors.
