Embedded Software Developer (with functional safety experience)

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer to design, implement, and maintain software for safety-critical industrial systems. The role involves developing reliable embedded software solutions, ensuring compliance with defined requirements and industry standards, and contributing to the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement embedded software features and functionality

  • Maintain and enhance existing software components

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects

  • Ensure traceability between requirements, design, implementation, and testing activities

  • Perform unit testing and support software verification activities

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality improvements

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary development teams throughout the product lifecycle

Required Competence

  • Strong experience in embedded software development

  • Proficiency in C and/or C++

  • Understanding of real-time systems and hardware-software interaction

  • Experience working with safety-critical software development practices and standards

  • Experience in industrial systems with high reliability and quality requirements

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles, version control systems, and CI/CD workflows

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with safety-related standards (e.g. IEC 61508, ISO 26262, EN 50128 or similar)

  • Experience in regulated development environments

  • Knowledge of modern DevOps and automated testing practices

  • Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS-based systems
