For our client in the banking sector, we're looking for an experienced IT architect to standardise technical interface design for data products.

Description

As part of the client’s 2030 strategy, we are looking for a consultant who can drive the standardisation and scaling of the design of models, schema and internal design of data products. The client is moving towards a data mesh setup to enhance ways of working with integrations and standardisation of data. This role plays a key part in that transformation.

The role is to actively drive the organisation to ensure that a semi-manual build of data products can be converted into a more BAU engineering activity. This means that testing, CI/CD, schema evolution and technical interfaces are naturally embedded in the process.

You will work closely with information modellers to shift their ways of working, including requirements management and closer collaboration with engineering in the build process. The overall process is anchored within Architecture, however you will be closely working with technology, governance and delivery organisation.

Key Responsibilities

* Drive standardisation of technical interface design for data products

* Lead the scaling of models, schema and internal data product design

* Support the transition towards a data mesh architecture

* Transform semi-manual data product development into BAU engineering processes

* Ensure CI/CD, testing and schema evolution are embedded in development workflows

* Collaborate closely with information modellers to evolve ways of working

* Integrate requirements management into data product development

* Work cross-functionally with Architecture, Technology, Governance and Delivery teams

* Drive organisational change in processes and culture related to data product development

Requirements (Must-have)

* Experience from information modelling (logical and physical)

* Experience from implementing or scaling API design and management or similar

* Proven experience in driving change in processes and culture

Nice-to-have

* Familiarity with integration patterns

* Experience with metadata management

* Understanding of governance procedures
