For our client in the banking sector we are looking for a back-end developer with knowledge in C++ and Java FX. The team is responsible for creating automated credit decisioning solutions for all business lines. Role expectations: - Taking responsibility for the full lifecycle of application development - Working on integrations, utilising middle-tier frameworks - Cooperating with business to clarify expectations - Testing, both manual and automated - Reviewing the code on a regular basis and initiating needed improvements, and refactoring - Maintaining technical documentation - Good communication skills and willingness to take responsibility Must-have knowledge and experience: - 6+ years of experience as a backend developer - Knowledge and experience in C++, Springboot, Microservices and Java is a must - Familiarity with tools such as Maven, Bamboo, Jenkins, GIT and Jira - Knowledge and ability to use Clean Code principles - Experience within Agile development methodologies - Fluent in spoken and written English

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience: - Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber - Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VB and ASP will be seen as an advantage - Experience with Kubernetes container deployment - Proficiency in Finnish language because some of the codebase is in Finnish - Prior experience in the financial services industry - Worked with AI for developing solutions to create business value
