Out client are building the next-generation workshop ordering platform for a independent aftermarket. We are seeking a Senior Frontend & UI Lead who owns the interface end-to-end — from understanding workshop workflows to shipping production-ready code.

This is not a pure engineering role. The right candidate leads with user experience, thinks in user journeys before components, makes design decisions directly in code, and confidently presents rationale to both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the frontend architecture and overall user experience for the Scania Used Parts platform.

- Translate complex workshop workflows into clear, efficient, and intuitive interfaces — based on direct user needs rather than handed-down specifications.

- Design and ship production-grade UI, making both design and implementation decisions in a unified workflow.

- Collaborate closely with product, backend engineering, and business stakeholders — actively contributing to discussions rather than waiting for tickets.

- Use AI-assisted development workflows as a core working method to maximize iteration speed and delivery output.

- Define, measure, and improve UX quality using behavioral metrics (e.g., task completion rate, time-on-task, error rates).

- Facilitate cross-disciplinary decisions at the intersection of product, design, and engineering.

Required Qualifications:

- Significant experience as a Senior or Lead Frontend Engineer with clear ownership of user experience outcomes — not only implementation.

- Demonstrated ability to move from user problem to deployed solution without reliance on a separate design handoff process.

- Strong capability to operate across product, design, and engineering disciplines.

- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflows, with a clear understanding of where they accelerate value and where they do not.

- Experience working in small, high-autonomy teams where strategic direction is shaped collaboratively rather than handed down.

Strong experience with,

- React

- Next.js

- TypeScript

Preferred Qualifications:

- Tailwind CSS

- shadcn/ui

- Experience from the automotive or vehicle industry.

- Background in HMI (Human-Machine Interface) or interface design for operational/workshop environments.

- Proven ability to articulate technical and design decisions to non-technical stakeholders through presentations and written communication.

Personal Competencies:

- Strong delivery focus and ownership mindset.

- Ability to lead technically while collaborating in cross-functional teams.

- Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.

- Proactive and improvement-oriented.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
