Uppdragsbeskrivning

Build and evolve the People Data Platform by engineering robust Bronze → Silver → Gold pipelines and implementing governance through Databricks Lakehouse. Deliver high-quality, trusted, and reusable datasets that power analytics at scale and self-service across Group and Business Areas.

Model & curate the Gold layer

• Design dimensional/semantic models (star) that expose consistent business definitions for HR domains (workforce demographics, talent, mobility, retention, EX, etc.).
• Publish certified, versioned datasets with clear contracts, lineage, and documentation; maintain data dictionaries and business glossaries aligned to forum-approved definitions.

Pipelines & data quality

• Build reliable transformation pipelines (Bronze → Silver → Gold) using Databricks Lakeflow and Azure Data Factory, with unit/integration tests, data quality checks, and automated validation of metrics (e.g., headcount, hires, exits).
• Implement incremental processing strategies, performance tuning, and cost-aware compute/storage practices for large datasets.
• Leverage Unity Catalog for governance, lineage, and security across the lakehouse.

• Collaboration & demand management

  • Translate stakeholder demands into technical specs together with People Analytics Partners and the Group team; work primarily with the IT Product Team during backlog refinement and iteration planning to ensure alignment with platform strategy and technical standards.
  • Partner with BI developers to optimize Power BI datasets and visuals for self-service and analytics products; provide developer handovers and operational runbooks.

  Operational excellence

  • Monitor adoption, performance, and reliability of Gold datasets; drive continuous improvement based on usage analytics and feedback.
  • Contribute to release management, CI/CD, incident response, and documentation standards.

  Krav / kvalifikationskriterier

  Must-have

  • Experience modeling data from Workday, Peakon, or similar HCM/EX/finance sources.
  • Databricks Lakehouse: strong experience with Delta Lake, Lakeflow orchestration, and Unity Catalog for governance and security.
  • Data modeling: experience designing semantic/tabular models for analytics (dimensional modeling, SCD patterns, role-playing dimensions, calculation groups).
  • Pipelines & transformations: hands-on with ELT/ETL frameworks (Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python/PySpark) and orchestrating jobs at scale.
  • Data quality & testing: proficiency in automated testing, validation rules, profiling, and observability for data products.
  • Security & compliance: experience implementing row-level/column-level security, PII protection, retention policies, and GDPR-aligned controls for HR data.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: ability to work with People Analytics Partners and forum stakeholders to turn business demands into robust technical solutions.

  Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with medallion architectures, Delta formats, data contracts, and lakehouse patterns.
  • Exposure to ML feature engineering to support downstream data science & research use cases.

  Knowledge

  • Understanding of HR processes and HR data structures (headcount, movements, org structures, time-to-fill, tenure, EX measures, skills/competency taxonomies).
  • Awareness of ethical frameworks for people analytics and emerging regulations impacting people data.
