Technical Lead – Microsoft 365 & Identity

We are looking for a skilled and visionary Technical Lead to help shape the future of digital collaboration across our organization. Your mission is to design, evolve, and maintain our Microsoft 365–based collaboration and Identity landscape built on Active Directory and Entra ID — ensuring it is secure, modern, scalable, and delivers a seamless experience for employees.

You’ll work in a true DevOps setup, where the team owns the full lifecycle of the platforms — design, build, deployments, continuous improvement, operations, and support. Together with the team, you will apply modern architectural and technical principles, such as automation-first thinking, event-driven integrations, cloud-native patterns, Infrastructure as Code, and agile ways of working.

This role combines hands-on engineering with architectural responsibility and cross-team collaboration.

What You Will Do

  • Architecture & Technical Leadership
  • Own the technical architecture for Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva, Exchange Online, and key integrations.
  • Develop and maintain the platform roadmap aligned with business needs, security requirements, and digital workplace strategy.
  • Lead design decisions following modern architectural principles such as automation, modularity, resilience, and cloud-native patterns.
  • Identify opportunities to modernize, simplify, and automate recurring processes, driving a self-service-first approach.
  • Platform Engineering & Operational Excellence
  • Engineer, configure, and optimize Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Active Directory components to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable services.
  • Build event-based integrations and automated workflows using PowerShell, Graph API, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, GitHub Actions, IaC, and DevOps practices.
  • Support hybrid identity scenarios and ensure a seamless, compliant identity experience.
  • Work with operations teams in a DevOps model to resolve complex incidents, remove root causes, and continuously improve platform reliability.

Collaboration, Advisory & Governance

  • Act as a senior technical advisor to product owners, security teams, architects, and business stakeholders. Support and mentoring team members.
  • Support platform governance, lifecycle management, compliance, and adoption initiatives.
  • Participate in backlog refinement, strategic discussions, and cross-team planning.
  • Communicate complex technical topics in clear and accessible ways.
  • Contribute and be a key player in the Tech lead community and in similar communities in the Horse Group context.

Skill requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Purview, Viva, Exchange Online, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Entra ID, Active Directory, Conditional Access, MFA, hybrid identity, and cloud security fundamentals.
  • Experience with event-driven integrations and automation using PowerShell, Graph API, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
  • Solid understanding of modern engineering practices such as IaC, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, DevOps ways of working, and cloud-native design.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership, architecture, or senior engineering role.
  • Nice-to-Have

    • Experience with ServiceNow integrations or workflow automation.
    • Knowledge of Purview compliance and data governance capabilities.
    • Architectural experience in hybrid cloud environments with Multi-tenant organizations
    • Certifications such as MS-700, MS-720, MS-740, SC-300, or equivalent experience.
