We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our IT Customs Management team. This new role is pivotal, and we are looking for individuals who not only fit the role description but are also eager to shape how global trade compliance is managed in a rapidly evolving environment, work with modern, automated digital platforms that are transforming the compliance landscape and help the company navigates global tariffs, regulations, and supply‑chain complexities.

What you will do:

  • Be evolved in the rollout of the Program for the Global Customs Tool implementation
  • Assist the Service Architect with end-to-end solutions, estimations, and testing. Ensure solutions meet business and architecture requirements.
  • Grow and maintain relationships with SMEs and Service Architects across other services. Promote sustainable IT practices.
  • Develop and implement IT Customs Compliance strategies.
  • Guide and coach the service team in application design, configuration, and development to adhere to business and architecture requirements.
  • Build and expand Tetra Pak business process knowledge to support evolving Customs and Compliance requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends. Implement innovative sustainability solutions.

We believe you have:

A good understanding of Customs and Compliance Domains

Knowledge of Global Customs processes:

  • Import/export declaration workflows
  • Tariff classification basics
  • Special customs regimes and Free Trade Agreements (FTA)
  • Logistics, supply chain, or customs brokerage is advantageous.

Knowledge of Trade Compliance Concept e.g.

  • Export control rules
  • Denied party screening
  • Central Product Classification (CPC), HS Codes (Harmonized System)
  • Origin calculation and free trade agreement administration

Good technical knowledge of IT systems in the Customs and Trade compliance e.g.

  • Material management in SAP ECC or S/4 HANA,
  • MIC OCS, MIC CCS, MIC-CUST, etc. will be an added advantage,
  • SAP GTS,
  • Thomson Reuters One Stream Global Trade (OSGT).

Strong desire to develop and learn in the evolving Customs Trade & Compliance subject area.

Ability to navigate uncertainties and propose effective solutions with limited information.

Capability of working independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively engage with and influence senior stakeholders across various business and delivery areas.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
