We are looking for a Data Engineer to support the development and operation of a data platform running on a GCP environment.In this role, you will work with a cloud-based data platform within the finance domain, ensuring smooth data movement, processing, and automation. The primary goal is to strengthen the team’s technical capabilities while supporting hands-on development and daily operations in a GCP-based setup.
Your responsibilities

• Implementing and maintaining data transfer and processing workflows in a GCP environment
• Building and developing data pipelines (e.g. Composer, BigQuery, SQL, Python)
• Automating and optimizing existing processes
• Collaborating with the team to deliver technical solutions
• Supporting and developing day-to-day usage of the cloud platform

Requirements

• Experience working as a Data Engineer
• Strong GCP skills (especially BigQuery) or similar cloud platform experience
• Solid knowledge of SQL and Python
• Understanding of data pipelines and scheduled workflows (e.g. Composer)
• Experience from the finance domain is considered a plus
• Experience with or interest in AI tools (e.g. Copilot) is highly appreciated
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid model (partly on-site); Finnish is considered a plus
