For our client Tetra Pak we're looking for a Mechanical Design & CAD/PDM Specialist – Creo / Inventor / Windchill

Assignment Overview We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design & CAD/PDM Consultant to support a global business transformation programme focused on harmonising CAD and PDM tools and ways of working. The assignment is part of a structured transformation initiative standardising CAD systems to PTC Creo and Autodesk Inventor, with PTC Windchill as the common PDM backbone. The consultant will be engaged as a subject matter expert (SME) within a central transformation team based in Lund, providing guidance, expertise, and hands-on support to business streams during development, deployment, and adoption phases. This is not a traditional mechanical design assignment. The primary focus is on systems, processes, product structures, and enablement, leveraging deep mechanical design and CAD/PDM expertise.

Client Context The organisation consists of multiple Business Sectors and Business Streams, each responsible for different areas of processing equipment and historically using different CAD tools and working methods. The transformation programme aims to: - Streamline and standardise CAD tools (Creo / Inventor) - Implement PTC Windchill as a unified PDM solution - Define and deploy a common way of working across the organisation globally Consultant Responsibilities CAD, PDM & Mechanical Design Expertise - Act as a trusted advisor and go to expert for Creo, Inventor, and Windchill throughout the assignment - Support the Product Structure Lead with expert input on: * Modularisation strategies * Metadata and attributes * CAD and PDM templates - Contribute to the integration of CAD, PDM, and PLM processes across business streams - Collaborate with IT and solution teams to ensure Windchill configurations align with business needs * Windchill will be configured and adapted, rather than deployed out-of-the-box, requiring strong process understanding

Process & Ways of Working - Support the Way of Working lead with: * User scenarios and user cases * Workflow definitions and lifecycle concepts * Best-practice recommendations for design and data management - Bridge the gap between mechanical engineering users and system/process implementation teams

Training & Change Enablement - Support the training material lead in developing CAD/PDM training content - Act as a visible and approachable expert during development and rollout phases - Promote adoption by fostering a positive change mindset among end users

Required Consultant Profile Technical Expertise - Advanced hands-on proficiency in PTC Creo - Solid working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor - Strong experience with PTC Windchill (user, super user, or specialist level) - Background in mechanical engineering, with strong understanding of: * Product structures * Design methodologies * Configuration and data management Consulting & Professional Skills - Ability to work independently within a structured transformation programme - Strong collaboration skills in cross functional and global teams - Clear and effective communication with engineers, business stakeholders, and IT - Open minded, solution oriented, and comfortable driving change - Strong interest in systems, processes, and digital enablement

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have) - Prior consultant role in CAD/PDM or PLM transformation projects - Experience acting as a super user, tool specialist, or solution expert - Familiarity with large or global engineering organisations Start: ASAP Duration: 12 months, with extension potential Workload: Full-time (40 hours/week) Location: Lund Travel: Approx. 10%, depending on project phase Remote Work: Up to 2 days/week after onboarding Equipment: Consultant will be provided with a CAD laptop Workload: 100%
