A fast-growing Nordic B2B SaaS company is looking for a senior Design Engineer who combines a sharp eye for design with strong frontend skills. You'll shape how an AI-native product looks, feels and works, from the first idea to polished, production-ready UI.Our client builds an AI-native SaaS platform used by companies across multiple countries. The product team is small and senior, and AI-assisted development is already part of everyday work. They are now looking for a Design Engineer to work at the intersection of design and engineering.

What you'll do

• Design and build new and existing features end to end, from concept to implementation and maintenance
• Refine UI and UX details independently and keep the quality bar high
• Develop and extend the existing design system and component library
• Share your expertise with designers and developers to raise the team's standards
• Work on interaction design for upcoming agentic and AI-powered features
  
  

What we're looking for

• Solid experience in frontend development in a product company, ideally working in a large codebase
• Excellent visual and interaction design skills and genuine taste for modern, high-quality software products
• Hands-on experience building with AI tools, and the judgment to tell good AI output from mediocre and fix it by hand when needed
• Strong frontend fundamentals: you can write quality code without AI as well
• Experience with design systems, components and accessibility
• Clear written and spoken communication in English

Nice to have

• Experience from B2B SaaS or complex data-heavy products
• Experience mentoring others or improving team practices

Portfolio

• Please include: portfolio and GitHub profile (if available), with examples of work where you have taken design into a polished, shipped product. Portfolios will be reviewed carefully for design quality

Location

• Remote-friendly, working hours must overlap with the core team in Finland. Occasional in-person days in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
