Senior Fullstack Test Engineer

For our client, we are looking for Senior Fullstack Test Engineer.

We’re looking for a Senior Tester with solid testing experience who wants to be part of our team and contribute to improving our testing and automation. This role involves working with and improving our existing automated tests and contributing to ensuring software quality and reliability. You will contribute with automate manual tests incl. exploratory testing, integration tests and drive quality aspects in our development lifecycle. You will also conduct investigations (eg logs, integrations, browser DevTools) and play an active part in setting up and improving our monitoring of existing services.

Key responsibilities include identifying test cases, executing automated test suites, analyzing results, tracking defects, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires strong technical skills in automation tools like Cypress & Robot, proficiency in programming languages, a solid understanding of agile development, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to improve testing processes and product quality.

Competence Profile and Qualifications:  

Core Responsibilities:

• Acts as tester with test leader mentality

• Analyze and breakdown requirements into test cases for new development

• Secure validation requirements (acceptance criteria) in collaboration with Business Analyst and Developers

• Passionate about developing/maintaining test frameworks and identifying new automation areas 

• Develop and maintain regression test suites, enhancing testing efficiency, accuracy and research on tools and technologies 

• Manual testing when needed

• Investigate failures in system tests during new development, operations and incidents.

• Report and analyze defects in non-prod environments and follow up progress  

• Drive deploy & release processes: functional and business.

• Managing test data across multiple environment and ensure that test data is accurate for a reliable test suite 

• Contribute to team’s on-going work with test automation UI

• Upskill current testers in automation (API and backend)

Required Expertise: “Fullstack tester”:

• 5+ years as tester & test leader

• Strong automation/technical background and analytical skills

• Expertise in Automating test cases for UI, API, Backend as part of evolving regression suite.

• Expertise in API testing (Insomnia / Postman ) with knowledge of micro services

• Knowledge & hands on experience of different API types: Websocket, Rest, GraphQl

• Complete proficiency in English is a requirement, Swedish is a plus.

• Experience from working with digital services

• Knowledge about Software Test Life Cycle with expertise in any of one of Test Management Tool

• Test automation frameworks knowledge and hands on experience with expertise in any of the automation tool (Selenium, Cypress, UI Automation)*

• Complete proficiency in English is a requirement, Swedish is a plus.

Highly Valued Skills:

• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.

• Good knowledge in agile principles 

• DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in testing & automating a map based tool

• Good to have basics for web fundamentals like HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• Experience in using AI tools like AWS Kiro or Co-pilot

Our client reserves the right to request evidence of completion of these checks according to their expectations for the duration of the contingent worker assignment.

If any deviations or discrepancies occur, the supplier should inform Ework and the candidate should not be moving forward in the procurement process.

Any supplier awarded an assignment with our client needs to, at least, perform checks on:

• Identity verification

• Right-to-work confirmation

• Address verification (covering approximately the last 10 years)

• Education verification (highest relevant degree or certification)

• Financial fitness (e.g., history of bankruptcy or significant debts)

• Corporate directorship review (where applicable)

• Criminal record check in accordance with local legislation

• Basic open-source / media review (including social media)
