Senior Operational Lead/Service Delivery Manager

For our client, we are looking for a Senior Operational Lead/Service Delivery Manager.

As a Senior Operational Lead/Service Delivery Manager you are responsible for the operational delivery to customers including functionally leading and developing the SRE team. The SRE team is together with the DevOps teams responsible for supporting the customer solution and working towards continuously improving the service reliability by means of automation, improved logging and monitoring of the services. The Senior Operational Lead/Service Delivery Manager collaborates closely with both Customer stakeholders and internal stakeholders (Engineering Managers, Delivery Managers to ensure we meet the SLA commitments towards the customers and the agreed way of working. The Senior Operational Lead/Service Delivery Manager takes lead and drives knowledge sharing and process improvements in the service operation area within the delivery and towards the Customers.

Leadership & Team Enablement

• Act as the visible leader and first point of contact for the team and key stakeholders.

• Lead teams and individuals through change, improvement initiatives and delivery phases.

• Create alignment, clarity, and collaboration across teams, functions and other leaders.

• Support a positive team climate, engagement and sustainable ways of working.

• Accountable for providing effective informal leadership and enabling team performance within the assigned scope.

Operations, Prioritization & Delivery Coordination

• Ensure that operational and prioritization processes are established, followed, and continuously improved.

• Support and enable prioritization of operational work in collaboration with key stakeholders.

• Identify, escalate, and help resolve operational risks, dependencies and impediments.

• Accountable for ensuring that operational planning and prioritization are performed and followed up within the assigned scope.

Operational & Tactical Execution

• Bridge operational execution with tactical delivery and coordination activities.

• Contribute actively to resource planning and allocation together with relevant stakeholders.

• In certain contexts, contribute hands-on to operational or coordination tasks when required.

• Accountable for smooth operational flow within the assigned area.

Stakeholder & Interface Management

• Act as the primary interface between the team and dependent stakeholders.

• Ensure clear expectations, communication and follow-up across internal and external interfaces.

• Clarify and manage role boundaries in relation to Engineering Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and other Lead roles.

• Accountable for effective collaboration and alignment across operational interfaces and stakeholder relationships.

Continuous Improvement & Performance

• Drive continuous improvement of ways of working, operational efficiency and service quality.

• Follow up operational performance, flow, cost efficiency and operational stability.

• Support optimization of processes, structures and collaboration models.

• Accountable for continuous improvement and operational performance within the assigned scope.

Accountabilities

• Accountable for the overall coherence, transparency, and effectiveness of the delivery setup.

• Accountable for timely identification, communication, and escalation of delivery risks and impediments.

• Accountable for enabling predictable operational flow and alignment across teams and stakeholders.

• Accountable for providing management and customers with a clear, reliable picture of delivery status and outlook.

• Accountable for continuous improvement of delivery practices within the assigned scope.
