We are looking for a highly senior consultant to take on the role of Frontend Lead in a strategic initiative where we are building a new e-commerce platform within the telecom industry.

This is a key role in a large-scale digital transformation, and we are seeking consulting firms that can provide a technically strong, delivery-oriented profile with proven experience from complex e-commerce environments.

About the Assignment

The consultant will act as Frontend Lead within a cross-functional development team and take operational technical leadership for the frontend domain.

This is not an overall architecture ownership role. Architectural ownership is already established within the organization. However, the role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles and the ability to translate them into sustainable, high-quality implementation within the team’s delivery.

The assignment includes:

• Leading and coaching the team in frontend related technical matters

• Ensuring high code quality, structure, and long-term maintainability

• Making sound technical decisions within defined architectural boundaries

• Ensuring compliance with established standards and guidelines

• Contributing to efficient CI/CD practices

• Securing robust integration with backend services, CRM, and other business-critical systems

• Actively contributing to a mature and effective agile way of working

The role requires both strong individual delivery capability and the ability to elevate overall team performance.

We apply AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle and expect senior consultants to actively leverage AI to enhance delivery efficiency, code quality, and technical exploration. GitHub Copilot is widely used in our teams, and we are exploring Spec-Driven Development as part of our continuous improvement journey.

We expect a consultant who:

• Is confident making technical decisions within their mandate

• Can constructively challenge and engage in high-level technical discussions

• Has documented experience building or evolving frontend capabilities in large-scale initiatives

• Is both strategic and hands-on in code

• Extensive experience working in agile environments and the ability to contribute to structure, flow, and continuous improvement.

• Has experience working with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)

• Has an ability to use AI tools pragmatically to improve productivity and quality

• Is interested in and has openness to evolving ways of working, including Spec-Driven Development

Technical Environment

Frontend:

• React.js

• Next.js

• TypeScript

• Tailwind CSS / Emotion

• Headless CMS (Contentful)

• Monorepo setup (Turborepo, pnpm)

• CI/CD via GitHub Actions and CircleCI

• Testing with Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright

Backend (collaboration surface):

• Java-based services

• API-driven architecture

The consultant is not expected to work as a backend developer, but must have strong understanding of Java-based backend environments and be comfortable with:

• Reading and understanding backend code

• Discussing API design and contracts

• Reasoning around performance, scalability, and integrations

• Ensuring effective collaboration between frontend and backend teams

Profile We Are Looking For

We are looking for a highly senior frontend developer with experience in technical leadership.

Mandatory competencies:

• Several years of experience developing complex, data-intensive web applications

• Deep and current expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript

• Experience building e-commerce solutions

• Experience with API-driven development and system integrations

• Strong understanding of Java-based backend environments

• Extensive experience working in agile, cross-functional teams

• Experience taking technical leadership without formal line management responsibility

• Experience within telecom

Meritorious:

• Experience with Headless CMS

• Experience working in larger organizations with established architecture functions

• Proven experiences integrating frontend solutions with standardized CRM systems in enterprise environments
