We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst Consultant for our client, with strong expertise in Foreign Payments, for a short-term consulting assignment supporting the development of modern payment solutions.

You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, implementation-ready requirements while contributing to the development and improvement of payment processes.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

• Translate requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.

• Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders.

• Support testing, release activities, and solution validation.

• Ensure traceability from business requirements to delivered solutions.

• Collaborate with technical teams to improve payment processes and data quality.

• Contribute to AI-assisted requirement analysis and documentation where relevant.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking sector.

• Strong experience with Foreign Payments.

• Hands-on knowledge of one or more of SWIFT, SEPA, TARGET2, or IBAS.

• Good understanding of payment processing, clearing, settlement, and core banking systems.

• Experience working in Agile environments.

• Familiarity with APIs and data integrations.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Professional proficiency in English. Finnish is an advantage.

Start: ASAP

Duration: Short-term assignment until August/September, with possible extension

Location: Helsinki, Hybrid

Assignment: Full-time, 100%
