Role: Fullstack developer (Finnish speaker)

A large media organization is seeking a versatile senior full-stack developer. The role focuses on taking ownership of backend systems, content architecture, content enrichment, publishing flows, and integrations with mobile applications and other digital services to improve scalability and observability across a broad media ecosystem.

Start: ASAP preferred, but August is also acceptable!

Duration: 6-18 months

Location: Helsinki (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite)

Language: Finnish

Tech-wise we're looking for:

• Senior full-stack development with a strong backend orientation
• Node.js, TypeScript, Kotlin, and/or Clojure
• Cloud and infrastructure experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
• Messaging, APIs, and integrations (e.g., RabbitMQ, REST, and event-driven patterns)
• Databases and analytics-oriented services (e.g., RDS, S3, Redshift, or Athena)
• Observability and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, Logstash, or ElasticSearch)
• Awareness of mobile or frontend technologies, particularly React Native, is a plus

Soft-skills:

• Ability to take initiative and drive work forward independently
• Capability to unblock team members and collaborate effectively
• Strong ownership and a versatile, proactive mindset

The role requires a candidate with a strong leadership mindset and a proactive approach. The ideal professional has the ability to lead, constructively challenge existing practices, and take full ownership of large-scale initiatives—expertly breaking them down into clear, manageable components.
