Senior Java Developer

  • Senior Java Developer – Fund Trading Platform
  • We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a Fund Trading Platform team. The team is rebuilding a solution for processing external mutual fund orders for customers in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
  • You will play a key role in the development of the platform, combining strong software development skills with a quality-driven approach where test automation is an integrated part of the development lifecycle.
  • Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services, integrations and frontend functionality.
  • Develop microservices using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
  • Work with Microsoft SQL, REST APIs and Kafka.
  • Write clean, maintainable and testable code using sound object-oriented design principles and patterns.
  • Create and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, integration, API and UI scenarios.
  • Work with JUnit, Cucumber and other relevant test automation tools.
  • Validate REST APIs, Kafka-based event flows and database integrity as part of feature development.
  • Contribute to reusable test automation frameworks, test data preparation and reliable test execution in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform focused manual and exploratory testing when automation is not feasible or cost-effective.
  • Analyse test results, troubleshoot defects and collaborate closely with Product Management, DevOps and other developers.
  • Continuously improve development, testing and delivery practices by automating repetitive work.

  • Object-oriented design principles and design patterns
  • Experience with React and automated UI testing is also highly relevant for the assignment.
  • You are a self-driven and quality-focused developer who is comfortable taking ownership of both development and testing. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment together with developers, DevOps and Product Management, with a strong focus on delivering secure, reliable and maintainable solutions.

  • You will join the Fund Trading Platform team, working on a business-critical solution supporting mutual fund order processing across the Nordic market. The assignment combines new development, modernization, integrations and test automation.
