Role Summary

We are looking for a Business Analyst / Functional Consultant to work closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams to assess and rationalise the existing backlog and user stories. The role focuses on reviewing what has already been implemented, clarifying intent of existing stories, cleaning up the storyboard, and helping prioritise a clear, actionable list of required user stories aligned to business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to understand business goals, priorities, and expected outcomes.

• Review the existing user stories on the board and assess:

• What has already been implemented

• What is partially complete, obsolete, or redundant

• Analyse and clarify existing user stories for scope, intent, and acceptance criteria.

• Clean up and rationalise the story board, removing duplicates, outdated items, and unclear stories.

• Help prioritise the backlog based on business value, urgency, and dependencies.

• Collaborate with Product Owners and delivery teams to refine stories to a “ready for delivery” state.

• Ensure traceability between business requirements, user stories, and delivered functionality.

• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure shared understanding.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ Experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in Agile delivery environments.

• Strong hands-on experience working with user stories, backlogs, and story boards.

• Ability to review existing implementations and map them back to requirements.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.

• Experience working with AzureDevOps tools

• Structured, analytical mindset with attention to detail.
