Test Automation specialist

Looking for a Test Engineer to our client

This assignment focuses on the full lifecycle of test automation: planning, designing, developing, and executing test cases. The objective is to build robust automation scenarios that significantly improve testing efficiency, reliability, and repeatability. Includes increment work, sprint activities, backlog items, and ad-hoc testing needs.

Tasks:

  • Execute daily manual testing activities across various device/accessory combinations, while gradually implementing automation

  • Design test plans and manual test cases, and identify scenarios suitable for future automation

  • Execute hands-on manual testing for diverse hardware setups and report findings on compatibility

  • Cooperate with other teams to align testing strategies and share knowledge on automation possibilities

Detailed Definition of the Work Package:

  • Participation in a Device & Accessory Team as a Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

  • Performing manual testing to verify interoperability, while building the foundation for test automation code

  • Planning and implementation of testing activities and handling the complexity of the device & accessory matrix

  • Planning and coordination of testing activities, prioritizing manual verification where automation is not yet available

Other Specific Factors:

  • Strong proficiency in manual testing and a mindset to transition manual cases into automation

The client will provide the testing management environment. Understanding of the following tools and technologies is required:

  • Test Strategy & Device Matrix Plan (handling the complexity of accessories/devices)

  • Interoperability & Compatibility Test Reports (results of manual and automated testing activities)

  • Automation Feasibility Analysis (identifying candidates for migration from manual to automation)

  • Automated Test Scripts & Code (Python/Robot implementation)

  • Defect Reports (Jira)
