Software Engineer - Learning Data & Tech

We are now looking for a Software Engineer on the behalf of our client.

  • About you:

    In this role as a Software Engineer within the My Learning digital product area, you will work closely with the IKEA concept and brand. You will need to understand how learning solutions support the organization, as the product reaches more than 100,000 co-workers across the IKEA franchise system every year.

    To be a successful software engineer in this role, we expect...:

    • Minimum 3 years of software development experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience working with software-architecture
    • Minimum 2 years of experience working with cloud providers preferable Azure
    • Proven ability to deliver high-quality code using best practices
    • Familiar with Node.js, Python, Databricks, Sparql, and API development
    • Experience with Git-based development workflows
    • Experience from working with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.
    • Experience from working with Knowledge and Learning solutions is preferred

    As a Software Engineer, your main responsibilities will include: 

    • Be accountable for engineering and solution architecture within the Learning Technologies and Data area, but also align engineering work across teams within the domain.
    • Ensure modularization, scale, and integration while meeting resiliency, performance, and reusability, along with business and architecture goals.
    • Act as an ambassador for engineering and secure best practices in the product area.
    • Contribute to the exploration and further development of new technologies to improve further development of new tech and optimization of existing tools and systems.
    • Evaluate existing engineering practices and recommend improvements.
    • Be a champion of engineering principles , assisting the digital product leaders, such as

    - DevOps Automation

    - API Design

    - Decoupling and Reusability

    Workload: 100%

    Location: Malmö (needs to be onsite at least 3 days/week)
