Role: IT/ Date arhitect

We are looking for an IT/ Data Architect for a major financial institution to drive strategic initiatives within both Consumer Finance and the Credit & Capital Data Foundation (CCDF) programme. This role involves defining and governing enterprise-level solution designs, reducing technical complexity, and executing critical regulatory data remediation, including BASEL Rewiring. The successful candidate will translate complex functional and non-functional business requirements into secure, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions while ensuring alignment across the architecture community and cross-functional stakeholders.

Tech-wise we're looking for:

• 10+ years of experience with IT Architecture, including 3+ years as a Senior IT Architect
• Proven experience with architecture and technology implementation of large-scale enterprise solution architecture
• Strong expertise in solution design through detailed process/system diagrams and data modelling
• Deep knowledge of frontend-to-backend integration patterns and integration frameworks (specifically REST and CL Kafka)
• Knowledge of microservices, micro web apps, and application frameworks (e.g., Angular, React)
• Understanding of process automation platforms, specifically Pega
• Understanding of modern application stacks incorporating both open-source and 3rd party vendor technologies
• Hands-on experience in cloud data warehouses, ETL pipeline development/orchestration, and CI/CD setup using Snowflake (Nice-to-have)

Soft-skills we're looking for:

• Excellent communication skills in English to facilitate close cooperation with stakeholders and enable solution design handover to international developer teams
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into concrete architectural concepts, especially within financial services and Retail Banking
• Exceptional facilitation skills to work effectively with Product Owners, Process Owners, and SMEs
• High proactivity, decisiveness, and the confidence to navigate ambiguity and challenge decisions to achieve optimal outcomes

Other: Prior experience within banking, financial risk management, or regulatory reporting frameworks (such as BASEL) is highly beneficial.
