Data Platform Engineer / Architect

Help design and modernize a regulated Azure-based data platform that supports clinical research and algorithm development in a highly collaborative team environment.In this role, you will:

Design and build a modern data platform from the ground up on Azure, while modernizing and refactoring legacy data pipelines.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement cloud data solutions that support scalable analytics, structured data management, and production-ready workflows.
Establish data governance, audit trails, and compliant infrastructure aligned with EU-based requirements for clinical research environments.
Develop data storage and lifecycle approaches that balance immutable data handling with deletion rights and other regulatory needs.
Work closely with algorithm and data development teams to support the operationalization of data-driven solutions.

You will thrive if:

You have experience in clinical/healthcare data environments; medical device experience is especially valuable.
You bring solid Azure platform expertise along with deep knowledge of data architecture, ETL pipelines, SQL, and structured data management.
You are comfortable implementing governance, traceability, and auditability in modern cloud data platforms.
You understand modern data and machine learning engineering practices, including supporting or deploying models into production.
You communicate clearly in English and enjoy working as an embedded member of a cross-functional team in a hybrid Helsinki setup.
