We are looking for an experienced Optimization Engineer with a strong background in combinatorial optimization and performance-critical software development. What you will be doing

•  You will design and develop heuristic optimization algorithms for a large-scale platform using Java and high-performance in-memory data technologies. 
•  You will contribute to expanding algorithm capabilities, improving performance, and developing robust testing and benchmarking frameworks. 
•  You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data models and testing infrastructure

Requirements

•  Deep mathematical knowledge, especially in combinatorial optimization. 
•  Strong experience in production-quality software development. 
•  Proven experience in developing and optimizing performance-critical software. 
•  Strong understanding of algorithm development—from concept and evaluation to production implementation. 
•  Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools
•  Fluent written and spoken English, plus great communication and organizational skills. 
•  Experience with Java, Python, or similar languages. 

As a bonus, we consider:

•  Background in manufacturing, logistics, or other optimization-heavy industries. 
•  Experience with concurrent computing and database technologies. 
•  Proficiency with version control tools (Git)
