Are you an experienced .NET Backend Engineer looking for the right place to build integrations that matter? Do you want to help modernise how Research systems exchange data and support scientific work? Join us and be part of the Service Layer Integration (SLI) team, where you will contribute to a modern integration layer supporting Research systems.

What you will be doing

We are looking for a Senior, backend-focused .NET Engineer based in Poland to join the Service Layer Integration team. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you will contribute to creating scalable, secure, and maintainable integration solutions that accelerate innovation across Research. The role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to influence architecture, engineering practices, and technology direction.

• Your key responsibilities include the following:

• • Build API and event-based integrations between existing and new systems in Research
  • Replace current legacy API's with a new modern greenfield API surface
  • Assist feature teams with identifying and implementing event driven architecture

• What we are looking for

  We are seeking a candidate with an educational background in Computer Science, Software Development or Engineering, as well as experience in some of the following areas:

• • Strong experience developing backend applications using .NET / ASP.NET Core
  • Experience building enterprise integration APIs
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Bicep)
  • Hands-on experience with Entity Framework
  • Experience with unit testing and modern software quality practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with stakeholders

  • Knowledge of Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN)
